September's meeting will be at Fantasy of Flight on September 22, 2007. Details are spelled out below. A motion was made by Edith Fifer to have the generous group rate subsidized by the club. The motion was passed. We have to guarantee 15 attendees to get this group rate.

October's meeting will be at Rooster's Restaurant on October 13, 2007. Hosted by George & Georgia Matt. Restaurant has a different name but we have been assured that the food is still wonderful.

Edith Fifer reported that the President of the Sunshine Chapter, Butch Figurella, has requested that we ask our members at our meeting to please register early for the FL State Meet.

Edith Fiter told us about the Turkey Run at Daytona scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend. The five Studebaker Ladies that are putting together the weekend are Betty Bowers, SC Palmetto Chapter; Linda Myers, Ft. Myers Studebaker; Emily Skelly, South GA Chapter; Orva Kaufmann and Edith. An invitation has been to the Florida Packard Club to be our guests and Edith had talked with Tom Kaiser, their President. Rick Courtier will be sending out flyers to all those who were at Daytona last year and signed his list.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the following members and their families: Byron Tappan's wife Margaret died in July. They had been married 32 years. She will be missed. Ronda Scarabino will be having surgery next week and will be off work for 4-6 weeks. Ani and Clay Jones and the baby will be moving from California to South Carolina this fall. Ernie Keith has had a minor stroke and is just out of the hospital. Tom and Donna Hatch have moved to Ohio. Joe Boccardy's brother Bruce and Toni Boccardy's Sister Carnelle both died this month.
